Gary has made a major move ...in his career

   

This is no mistake...I have been in a whirlwind the past week making this change after 18 years with RE/MAX. I am now working in association with GROUP Realtors located at 8280 Montgomery Rd  Suite 306 in Kenwood...45236.

None of my vitals have changed. You can reach me at the same phone number, same email and web address. I will give you the same great, caring service as I have grown accustomed to provide over my 22 years in Real Estate.

You probably want to know..."Why the sudden change?"

Well, it wasn't that sudden. I have been feeling a little crowded in RE/MAX for many months. The spark left. There was no SHAZAM! as Gomer Pyle would put it. A change needed to be made and this was the most logical move I could think of to stay in business and provide for my family and my future retirement.

When I joined RE/MAX 18 years ago I was thinking outside the box. It was very new, exciting, different than anything on the planet and I made that work great for me. I always think outside the box. I have always been and still am a trailblazer.

RE/MAX had a vision, to make Real Estate Maximum a household word. Brand the concept into everyones brain like Kleenex and Coke. Well, they have achieved their goal. That's great for RE/MAX corporate. But what about the agent? What about me and my clients. The cost to belong to RE/MAX quite frankly keeps going up and the benefits are becoming less. Don't get me wrong, it's not only a money thing. It's the whole picture.

Here's what Gary likes about GROUP Realtors.

1. It is owned and operated by Barry & Marilou Butcher Roth and Barry's son Jonathon.
2. The office location is in Kenwood, the center of the city
3. Marilou offers on site training and one on one coaching. I have always had and still believe in having a real estate coach. Someone to help keep me on track. Someone to be accountable to.
4. Their IT support and Technology is far superior to any other real estate office in town.
5. Being a small family atmosphere & supportive environment they also offer profit sharing along with a customizable commission plan.
6. My ideas are not only heard, they are considered great additions to the already high tech, innovative business plan that is open for any improvements. Do you know how hard it was to get a company the size of RE/MAX to approve any new ideas or concepts?
7. I can still work at my pace, do my business the way I feel is prudent for me and offer my clients & friends the best darn real estate service on the planet. I can still play all the music I want. And that is very important to me.
8. Marilou and Barry are very loyal to our industry. Marilou is very active at Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors. She works on a couple of the same committees that I do. She is on the board of directors, which is one of my career goals. Marilou and Barry say they will help me achieve that goal.
9. They have worked out an arrangement for Mary Jo to get her license out of referral network and fully activate her to be of maximum service to me and my clients without the double cost from the broker.
10. I have been asked to help work with some of the newer agents, coach them along to help them hone their skills. I have always believed in giving back what was given to me. I love teaching and I know I have something to offer this company on a larger scale. 22 years of experience will now come full circle for me.

It seemed the right thing to do. The hardest part was meeting with my long time friend, mentor and broker at RE/MAX Unlimited Ken Parchman. I really care for this guy and it was very hard to say good-bye. But in todays ever changing world and declining market I had to do something. This really feels like the best thing I could do.

I had a break in the action with my blogging. Due to all the changes being made. Designing new cards, ordering signs, stationary. Meeting with all my listings. Changing website branding. All the trade associations I was with needed my updated profile changed. I'm still finding changes needing made and more than likely will find many more throughout the weeks to come.
