Many of you know I play music as a hobby in a local Rock-N-Roll band. I was on the way home from the gig last night and saw this huge mural painting on the side of a building. (click on photo to enlarge)
If I hadn't decided to take a short cut from River Rd to I-75 driving North on State Street I would have missed it. This was on the corner of State and Staebler.
What an amazing work of art. The inscription on the banners at the top of the mural painting says:
"We are the Music Makers" "And We are the Dreamer of Dreams"
I am not an art critic...but this took a lot of thought, insight and talent and is a lot more attractive than boring red brick.
Could you imagine if more of our city buildings were decorated in this fashion. Now I am glad I took the short cut. You just never know what you will find when you least expect it. That is why I always have my Nikon digital SLR camera with me and ready to shoot. Then I can share these moments with YOU.
