This week I would like to present St Lawrence Church located at 3680 Warsaw Avenue, in Price Hill, Cincinnati, Ohio. This church was built on one of the highest hilltops in Cincinnati.
This authentic Gothic superstructure was completed and dedicated on September 30, 1894 by Archbishop William Henry Elder. This church is 72 feet x 165 feet and cost $106,000 to build. In 1896, the congregation numbered 475 families.
St Lawrence Church was organized at Mt. St. Mary's Seminary in 1868 under the direction of Rev. J. M. Bonner. The mother parish was St. Michael's in lower Price Hill.
I was driving through Price Hill last Sunday and when I saw this beautiful building it only took me a moment to pull over, grab my camera and start shooting. This is spectacular.
